Dashdance Stud is based in a beautiful part of South Wales and stands CA Wreckless Rascal, a homozygous tobiano American Paint stallion and Two ID Blue Baron, a perlino Quarter Horse stallion. Both stallions were chosen for their wonderfully laid back temperaments, movement and conformation plus of course the colour they will always give to their foals. CA Wreckless Rascal will always sire coloured foals and he has some stunning babies to his name over here. Two ID Blue Baron will always give his cream gene to his foals - so you're looking at palomino and buckskin babies to bay/black/chestnut mares (he cannot sire a smokey black).

Foals born here at Dashdance have a great start in life with lots of open space to play, herd life to teach them some horse manners and human attention to teach them the basics as well as regular exposure to dogs, children and farm machinery. We try and strike a good balance between over and underhandling our little ones as both can be counterproductive. Each foal is an individual and seeing them develop from newborns to weanlings is fascinating - we take many photos/videos and these can all be passed on to the new owners as a permanent record of their horse's early life.

When foals leave here they are properly weaned, wormed, leading, tying up and have seen the farrier. They will be chipped, passported and registered with APHA or AQHA if applicable. We practice sensible "set yourself up for success" horsemanship which draws on common sense and years of experience. We  encourage everyone interested in our horses to have a chat and if you take one home, to keep in touch. We want our babies to thrive in their new homes and are more than happy to give advice to our owners at any time.

We aim to breed all rounder horses that can and will do anything they're asked. Primarily we're aiming to breed youngstock that anyone can handle and train, horses who are sensible, genuine and kind as well as having great movement and that "look at me" quality. Our mare herd ranges from 15hh to 16.2hh and all have been handpicked for their temperament, conformation and paces. Horse owning should be a pleasure and so we breed horses we would like to own and compete. We like horses who'll be good fun and bring you home safe at the end of the day, preferably with a rosette or two. If that's the kind of horse you're after, please get in touch.

We love the Paint and Quarter Horse temperament. We can and probably will chat with you at length about how easygoing and generous they are. But we don't just talk about it, we can show you too. In the video is a 2 year American Paint gelding "Texas", one of Josh's first foals and our son Rory and the two photos are of an older Rory with Leia and Twiglet, Josh's 2011 fillies. Temperament just doesn't get any better than this.
